Getting there:

To get to the east coast of Greenland from Glasgow, UK I flew to Keflavik in Iceland and then from Reykavik to Kulusuk.

Although the main east Greenland airport is at Kulusuk the town of Tasiilaq is on an island with no space for a landing strip. To get there you have to take a transfer flight by helicopter.

We started the walk at Cruachan power station and walked up through a low cloud layer in the Pass of Brander to Cruachan Dam.

Later in the morning the clouds cleared to give us great view of Loch Awe.

On top of Ben Cruachan you can see north up Loch Etive and towards the mountains of Glen Coe.
